Returns and Warranty

Return Policy 

Our simple Haddle-Free and Industry Leading return policy grants our customers the freedom to exchange or return their products after the date of purchase. We try and ensure our customers are 100% satisfied with their purchases and we try our hardest to remove that 'Locked-In' feeling. Items returns within Fifteen (15) days are guaranteed a full refund for complete satisfaction. Items returned within thirty (30) days of purchase are guaranteed for a product exchange and/or a store credit. Please note: a product returned for a refund or exchange must be in its original packaging, and must be complete and undamaged. All return shipping charges are barred by the customer.  

Street Guardian will repair, replace or refund faulty or damaged products in accordance with the warranty terms and conditions and your rights under the Canadian consumer law.

Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes, restricts or modifies the consumer guarantees provided for by statute including under the Canadian consumer law.

All refunds may take up to 15 business days to be processed, refunds are strictly limited to those available under clauses implied by statute.

The customer must comply with directions from staff to facilitate a return.

Products returned under the returns policy must be returned in their original packaging with all accessories, and must be in a re-saleable condition.

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this clause limits or restricts your ability to make a claim that may be available to you for failure to comply with a guarantee under the Canadian consumer law.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that returned items are returned safely. We take no responsibility for products lost in transit.

All return shipping charges are barred by the customer.

Our policy lasts up to 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at support@streetguardiancanada.ca.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at support@streetguardiancanada.ca 
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Shipping
To return your product, you should send us an email at support@streetguardiancanada.ca 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.


Warranty

Each product sold on the website is covered by a 12 month standard warranty.

Extended warranties may be available on selected products, as listed on the website. You may be required to register your product with us within 14 days after delivery of your product to obtain extended warranty.

We will carry spare parts for each product for a reasonable period, which we consider generally corresponds with the length of the standard and/or extended warranty period.

Street Guardian reserves the right to refuse to supply spare parts where it considers the request to be outside a reasonable period and limited stock is available.

Proof of purchase either by invoice copy or payment confirmation must be provided when requesting service under standard or extended warranties.

Street Guardian requires any customer requesting service under standard or extended warranties to comply with directions from Street Guardian staff in relation to troubleshooting any issue and facilitating any repair or replacement under these warranty terms and conditions.

Where products are found to be faulty or damaged upon delivery photographic evidence must be submitted prior to any repair or replacement as requested by Street Guardian support staff, freight damaged items should be reported immediately via email at support@streetguardiancanada.ca

Street Guardian reserve the right to replace the product or part with the same or equivalent product or part rather than repair it, replacement of the product or part under the standard or extend warranty does not restart or extend the standard or extended warranty period.

Where a replacement product or part is no longer available Street Guardian may its discretion replace the product or part with the nearest equivalent product or part from the Street Guardian range.

In the event of a replacement or refund, the faulty item shall become the property of Street Guardian.

Street Guardian reserves the right to determine which authorized repair centre is appropriate service location for any given repair circumstance.

The product shall be the customers risk while in transit to and from an authorized repair centre.

Street Guardian reserves reasonable discretion to determine if the product is performing within specification, subject to applicable law.

To the full extent permitted by law, the standard warranty and extended warranty will not apply in respect of a product:

• If the product has not been installed, maintained, operated or used in accordance with the instructions or specifications provided with the product;

• If the factory applied serial number has been altered or removed from the product;

• Which has suffered damage, malfunction or failure resulting from alterations, any alterations (hardware or software), accident, misuse, abuse, fire, liquid spillage, miss-adjustment of customer controls, use on an incorrect voltage, power surges and dips, force majeure, voltage supply problems, tampering or unauthorised repairs by any persons, use of defective or incompatible accessories, the operation of a computer virus of any kind, exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions or entry by any insect, vermin or foreign object in the product;

• To damage arising during installation or while moving the product, or to any transportation costs of the product or any parts thereof to and from the customer, unless otherwise specified in these warranty terms and conditions;

• To any third-party software or hardware not contained in the product as originally configured by the manufacturer;

• To any failure, to the extent that the failure is not a failure of the product to perform in accordance with its specifications;

• To replacement or repair of any consumables (including batteries and cables), or lost parts or accessories;

• To service and support of any software operating system or application installed on any product, except to assist in restoring the product to its factory default settings.
